The QA Engineer role is designed for an experienced professional with a strong background in quality assurance, particularly in web-based applications. The position emphasizes the importance of test planning, problem-solving, and process improvements, with a focus on maintaining high product quality in a fast-paced startup environment. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of software development methodologies and the ability to adapt to frequent changes while managing their own tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Implement QA processes leveraging new and existing tools.
• Read and write code in Python/Django, including corresponding unit tests.
• Act as the gateway for all features and fixes to ensure platform stability.
• Utilize strong software development methods and full stack versatility at scale.
• Contribute to the overall technology stack and influence its direction.
• Solve problems proactively and tackle issues hands-on.

Requirements

• 12+ years of previous QA experience, including scope and requirements definition, test planning, and process improvements in web-based applications testing.
• Minimum 4 years of experience with Selenium WebDriver using Python.
• Knowledge of API REST testing.
• Experience with Django applications.
• Experience in an agile working environment.
• Strong independent nature with the ability to manage tasks and take ownership of product quality.
• Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
