About the position

The QA Engineer position at TEKsystems is focused on ensuring the quality of software releases through effective testing methodologies and automation. The role requires a results-oriented individual with a minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance, particularly in automation and backend testing. The candidate will work closely with clients to manage expectations and will be responsible for designing and implementing automated tests, particularly in an Agile development environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automation tests using Java and Selenium.
• Perform UI Testing, Automated Testing, and Behavior Driven Development strategies.
• Test and automate REST APIs and Web Services.
• Adapt to a rapidly evolving environment and work in Agile development and continuous integration.
• Facilitate key QA methodologies, processes, and metrics standards to improve release quality.
• Conduct cross-browser testing, compatibility testing, and mobile device testing.
• Utilize QA tools such as ALM and Jira for managing testing processes.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance.
• Strong expertise in automation and backend testing.
• Proven experience with various testing techniques including UI Testing and Automated Testing.
• Proficient in Java, JavaScript, HTML, SOAP/XML, and SQL.
• Extensive knowledge of QA tools and methodologies.
• Experience with In-Sprint Automation and Agile development environments.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Chrome Dev tools, UNIX command, Shell scripting, and Eclipse.
• Knowledge of Test Driven Development.
• Experience building automated tests for Salesforce using open source testing tools.
