Responsibilities

  • Design, document, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies.
  • Collaborate with developers and product managers to provide feedback on requirements, design, and implementation.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
  • Analyze automation test results and work closely with the development team to address issues.
  • Design and execute API test plans to validate functionality, performance, and security.
  • Utilize tools like Postman, SoapUI, or similar for thorough API testing.
  • Maintain detailed API test documentation and ensure comprehensive endpoint coverage.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide QA insights.
  • Ensure adherence to QA standards, best practices, and guidelines.
  • Continuously improve testing processes to enhance product quality and reliability.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and operations.
  • Provide clear and regular updates on testing progress and identified issues to stakeholders.
  • Mentor and support junior QA engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Requirements

  • Client-facing experience and the ability to present in client settings.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in software quality assurance, with expertise in functional, automation, and API testing.
  • Proficiency with test automation tools like Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG.
  • Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman and SoapUI.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and QA methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, or similar.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab.
  • Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
