About the position

The QA Engineer role focuses on ensuring the quality of software through comprehensive testing methodologies and processes. The engineer will be responsible for planning and executing tests, communicating results to various teams, and developing strategies to enhance test coverage and execution speed through automation and analysis tools. This position requires a deep understanding of the WordPress ecosystem, including its themes and plugins, as well as the ability to work with various testing frameworks and tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute software tests.
• Communicate testing results to Engineering, business, and editorial teams.
• Develop strategies to improve test coverage and speed of execution.
• Utilize automation and analysis tools effectively.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Playwright, Javascript, and WordPress.
• Experience with Cypress, Playwright, Jest, and PHPUnit.
• Understanding of the Monolithic WordPress environment, including the creator and reader front ends and data storage/access.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Ghost Inspector.
• Experience with Selenium in C#, Java, and Python.
