About the position

The Quality Engineer position at CTS Corporation involves working with cross-functional teams to enhance customer satisfaction, reduce quality costs, and ensure the effectiveness of the Quality Management System. The role focuses on planning and implementing continuous improvement activities using lean and six sigma methodologies to address nonconformances and ensure compliance with relevant standards such as ISO 9001 and AS9100.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in problem-solving activities to address deficiencies in production performance.
• Engage in continuous improvement activities, including Value Stream Mapping and cost reduction initiatives.
• Provide quality-related support and guidance to manufacturing personnel.
• Establish and communicate quality standards to involved personnel.
• Communicate with customers and suppliers regarding quality-related concerns and improvement projects.
• Create and maintain documentation required by ISO 9001 and company needs, including PPAPs and Control Plans.
• Gather data and prepare reports for management on quality metrics and activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical Quality Discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality Engineering or management.
• Strong background in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies is preferred.
• Good computer, typing, and technical writing skills.
• Ability to manage personal work schedule and prioritize workload.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good mechanical aptitude and excellent customer service skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.
• Familiarity with quality system documentation and metrics reporting.
