About the position

The QA Engineer at Dragonfly Health is responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of software solutions that enhance the care-at-home experience for clients and caregivers. This role involves executing test plans, documenting findings, and collaborating with development teams to troubleshoot issues, all while maintaining a focus on user needs and business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a full understanding of end user needs and how software is utilized to accomplish business goals.
  • Execute test plans to ensure software changes perform as intended and do not adversely affect existing capabilities.
  • Undertake well-defined tactical software quality assurance tasks within larger projects and complete tasks in a reasonable time frame.
  • Create and maintain regression test plans and functional, end-to-end test cases for scheduled releases.
  • Create test cases for emergency releases and maintain up-to-date test plans.
  • Document test findings, report defects, and maintain up-to-date findings.
  • Execute pre-release testing of new features to assist the Development Team in troubleshooting issues.
  • Participate in release deployments, including planning, smoke testing, and communication of release readiness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of relevant QA technical experience in a large enterprise or e-business setting.
  • Expertise in database testing in Microsoft SQL Server environments.
  • Ability to understand and create test plans from specifications or verbal replication.
  • Expertise with quality management software and processes.
  • Experience authoring automated software tests with Selenium or similar tools.
  • Experience authoring software performance tests with Jmeter or similar tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Creative problem-solving skills to translate technical requirements to test plans.
  • Basic understanding of the durable medical equipment and hospice industry.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in hospice, durable medical equipment, pharmacy, managed care, or other healthcare services industries.
  • Proactive and self-directed with good time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information and comply with HIPAA regulations.
