About the position

The Quality Assurance Engineer at Reputation plays a crucial role in ensuring the excellence of software quality assurance and control. This position involves collaborating with a self-organized agile team to deliver high-quality software products. The QA Engineer is responsible for troubleshooting, writing detailed defect reports, and communicating findings effectively with the team. The role emphasizes the importance of automation in testing processes and requires active participation in defect triage meetings and root cause analysis of customer issues.

Responsibilities

• Learn and become an expert on the software products you'll be testing.
• Understand requirements and test scenarios to ensure quality in each code deployment.
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers to clarify feature and bug fix goals.
• Identify, document, and report bugs in the applications.
• Assist coworkers by answering questions about product capabilities.

Requirements

• 1 year of professional experience or equivalent college coursework, internships, or projects.
• Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn.
• Able to manage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with Jira is preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of web browsers and using Developer Tools for logs, errors, and network calls.
