About the position

Prove is seeking a self-directed and passionate Quality Engineer to contribute to the future of identity management and security. This role involves crafting solutions that enhance software quality and ensuring effective feedback mechanisms for developers. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of ownership, be curious about problem-solving, and possess excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build feedback mechanisms for timely and effective developer feedback on software quality.
• Determine when to hold up a release and drive compromise solutions.
• Investigate initial bugs and assist with root cause analysis (RCA).
• Review logs from both client and server to identify issues.
• Balance quality assurance with business requirements and time constraints.

Requirements

• 15+ years of industry experience in software development.
• 3+ years in Engineering or QA roles.
• Experience making meaningful contributions to products with over 1M users.
• Strong communication skills and ability to call out issues when necessary.
• Self-starter with a passion for quality and the ability to avoid burnout.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Docker and GitLab for continuous integration.
• Familiarity with Sentry for Android and iOS.
• Knowledge of Bash, Go, and Python programming languages.
• Experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of AWS and its managed service offerings.
