About the position

Insight Global is seeking a QA Engineer to join our top financial service client. This individual will be responsible for ensuring market and client connectivity through the FIX protocol. The role involves interfacing with vendors to ensure that trade orders are being completed accurately and efficiently. The primary focus of the QA Engineer will be to identify bugs within the platforms and effectively communicate these issues to the development team for resolution. This position is critical in maintaining the integrity and functionality of the trading systems, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and that any issues are addressed promptly. The QA Engineer will play a vital role in the quality assurance process, contributing to the overall success of the financial services provided by our client.

Responsibilities

• Ensure market and client connectivity through the FIX protocol.
• Interface with vendors to ensure trade orders are completed.
• Identify bugs on the platforms and communicate them to the development team for resolution.
• Utilize Cucumber for testing purposes.
• Write code in Java as needed for testing and quality assurance.

Requirements

• 10-15 years working as a QA Engineer in the financial service industry.
• Background in electronic or equities trading space.
• Extensive experience with Financial Information Exchange (FIX) protocol.
• Ability to identify bugs and communicate with the development team to resolve them.
• Experience utilizing Cucumber in testing.
• Fluent in Unix.
