About the position

The QA Engineer at Power Device Corporation (PDC) is responsible for ensuring product assurance conformance and compliance with established quality management systems. This role involves providing quality assurance support across various departments, resolving production issues, maintaining quality control procedures, and conducting internal audits. The position is critical in supporting the company's mission to deliver high-reliability products for the Aerospace, Defense, and Space industries.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Product Assurance Conformance and Compliance requirements as defined by the DDC Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Provide day-to-day Quality Assurance Engineering support to all areas of the company including Manufacturing, Engineering, Product Development, Procurement, and Product Assurance
  • Maintain, improve, and create quality control procedures to ensure product conformity to established standards
  • Resolve quality issues/discrepancies through continuous improvement and collaboration with suppliers, colleagues, and customers
  • Understand customer performance/quality requirements and communicate results to appropriate parties
  • Perform internal audits of department processes and procedures in accordance with AS9100 & MIL-PRF-38534
  • Analyze and investigate root causes of non-conforming product deficiencies and develop corrective actions
  • Review specification control drawings and generate quality plans
  • Assist Incoming Inspection with material disposition and Material Review Reports
  • Assist In-Process & Final Inspection with product disposition and Inspection Discrepancy Reports
  • Review and disposition engineering change notices and manufacturing processes for compliance
  • Plan, monitor, and report on product qualification testing per stakeholder specifications
  • Support customer Source Inspections at DDC and attend audits and conferences at vendor and customer sites

Requirements

  • A Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Applied Sciences is preferred
  • Six Sigma Certification (e.g. CSSGB, or comparable) is preferred
  • 3 years of related experience (Manufacturing, Industrial, etc.) is preferred
  • Knowledge of AS9100, MIL-PRF-38534, MIL-STD-883, and IPC-A-610 is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, analyze, articulate and present technical information in both written and verbal forms
  • Demonstrated ability to develop excellent working relationships with management, customers, and vendors
  • Excellent time management skills
