About the position

The QA Engineer position in Dublin, Ohio, focuses on testing a greenfield application within a highly regulated Google Cloud Platform environment. The role emphasizes the development and implementation of automated testing to ensure comprehensive coverage and system stability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement robust test cases based on functional/business requirements and software behavior discussions.
• Demonstrate proficiency with manual testing methodologies in a Google Cloud Platform environment.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure automated testing provides sufficient coverage for both positive and negative scenarios.
• Leverage a strong understanding of Java/Python/Git to add tests to our code repositories.
• Analyze production system operations using tools such as monitoring, capacity analysis, and outage root cause analysis to identify and drive change for continuous improvement in system stability and performance.
• Demonstrate knowledge of software development, life cycle, modeling of business processes, application design patterns, business/functional documents.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science or a related field.
• Practical experience working in an agile environment.
• Excellent communication skills along with a detail-oriented approach.
• Proficiency with Python, Git, JUnit, PyTest, and understanding of Google Cloud Platform.
• Understanding of structured software, metrics, B2B software, mentor, and test cases, QA, and automated testing.
• Demonstrable problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with application programming, Java, and root cause analysis.
