About the position

The QA Engineer will be part of a supportive team focused on creating enduring products for financial services clients. This role involves direct collaboration with business leaders to gather requirements, manage communication regarding product changes, and ensure quality through testing and bug fixing. The position also includes responsibilities for scheduling releases, training users, and creating documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with business to gather information and communicate it to developers regarding products.
  • Manage all communication to business leaders regarding changes, enhancements, and marketing ideas for products.
  • Test all products upon completion, fix bugs if possible, or escalate to developers for resolution.
  • Schedule product releases and provide training to end users.
  • Coordinate with business leaders and developers on new ideas and manage release schedules.
  • Manage the JIRA ticketing system to track work and responsibilities.
  • Create and automate QA test cases, tracking all bugs in projects and addressing them as needed.
  • Develop training documentation and guides for end users, including video training materials.
  • Coordinate requirements for stakeholders and communicate them with developers to write new project requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and 2 years of experience, or HS/GED and 6 years of experience with issue/defect tracking and change management tools such as JIRA.
  • Extensive knowledge in API/Web services-based infrastructure.
  • Experience with JAVA and Selenium.
