About the position

The QA Engineering Lead at Meta is responsible for planning, developing, and executing product quality strategies for Meta's suite of applications and business products. This role involves managing a team of testers, both in-house and offshore, to ensure product correctness and reliability through effective testing strategies and automation. The position also emphasizes the importance of fostering a quality-driven culture within engineering teams and implementing processes that optimize testing and quality metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop and execute product quality strategies for Meta's family of apps or business products.
  • Develop test strategies for business-critical projects to ensure product correctness before launch.
  • Manage a team of in-house and offshore testers to conduct black box testing.
  • Spearhead initiatives that influence engineering organizations to build a quality-driven culture.
  • Partner with engineering and infrastructure teams to leverage automation for scalable solutions to prevent regressions and ensure reliability of products.
  • Identify gaps and opportunities to improve quality.
  • Define and implement QA processes to optimize and scale testing within the product.
  • Establish and drive the adoption of quality metrics that help measure test effectiveness, efficiency, and overall quality of product.
  • Assess non-functional (e.g. i18n, l10n, a11y) product quality in collaboration with other quality focused teams and provide key insights to product teams.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Software, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or related field.
  • Two years of work experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation.
  • Experience in Quality Engineering.
  • Planning, designing, and executing tests and knowledge of performance and stress testing.
  • Implementing and maintaining quality test automation for both mobile and web applications.
  • Managing black box testing with remote testers.
  • Proficiency in Python, PHP, Java, JavaScript, or C/C++.
  • Knowledge of industry standard test automation tools and automation frameworks.
  • Reporting data and metrics to key stakeholders via technical demonstrations and reports.
  • Running PoC programs that could potentially help with efficiency and process improvements.
