About the position

The QA Hardware Test Engineer role is a contract position focused on supporting and evaluating electronic circuitry and hardware elements within a leading networking hardware and software solutions company. The engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting, conducting diagnostics, and ensuring the functionality of testing stations while responding to customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Support, troubleshoot, conduct diagnostics, modify, and evaluate electronic circuitry, subsystems, or other hardware elements.
• Ensure that the testing stations are operational and make modifications as needed.
• Respond to both internal and external customer needs.
• Run design verification tests.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Router hardware and IOS configuration.
• Experience with ASR1000 and optics is preferred but not mandatory.
• Working experience within the Unix environment.
• Working knowledge of Linux/Unix scripting (expect/tcl).
• Experience with traffic test tools, such as IXIA.
