About the position

The Quality Assurance Intern - Winter at Fincantieri Marinette Marine is designed to develop the necessary skills and capabilities for a long-term, full-time role within the Quality Assurance organization. The intern will assist various functions within the Quality Assurance department and engage in special assignments to become familiar with Marinette Marine standards, fulfilling internship requirements for their educational program or resume enhancement.

Responsibilities

• Assist various functions within the Quality Assurance department.
• Construct a metric database and reporting tool for surveys.
• Review the CAR, internal CAR, and LM SCAR databases.
• Compile processes and create process maps to compare against current procedures and work instructions.
• Work with multiple departments including Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, and Engineering.
• Verify applicable tests and inspections and assist in developing documentation and reporting methods.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Engineering, Quality Assurance).
• Basic understanding of quality assurance principles and practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with database management and reporting tools.
• Experience with process mapping and documentation.
