About the position

The Quality Assurance Internship at Fincantieri Marinette Marine is designed for students to develop essential skills and capabilities for a future career in Quality Assurance. The intern will assist various functions within the Quality Assurance department and gain familiarity with Marinette Marine standards, contributing to special assignments and projects that enhance their educational experience and resume.

Responsibilities

• Assist various functions within the Quality Assurance department.
• Construct a metric database and reporting tool for surveys.
• Review the CAR, internal CAR, and LM SCAR databases.
• Compile processes and create process maps to compare against current procedures and work instructions.
• Work with multiple departments including Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, and Engineering.
• Verify applicable tests and inspections and assist in documenting and reporting findings.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Engineering, Quality Assurance).
• Basic understanding of quality assurance principles and practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with database management and reporting tools.
• Experience with process mapping and documentation.
