About the position

The QA Lead Engineer at Mesh Systems will be a key member of the IoT solutions team, responsible for leading quality assurance initiatives to ensure the reliability and performance of advanced IoT solutions. This role involves optimizing the integration and functionality of diverse IoT devices and systems, contributing to the mission of delivering seamless and robust IoT solutions to clients. The QA Lead Engineer will implement rigorous testing protocols, proactively identify and resolve issues, and enhance user satisfaction while reinforcing the company's commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead the quality assurance efforts within an important customer program, ensuring that all deliverables meet high-quality standards
• Design and develop comprehensive test cases, suites, and plans to validate system functionality and non-functional requirements
• Execute manual test cases thoroughly, track results, and work closely with developers to resolve defects efficiently
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure testing strategies are aligned with project goals
• Utilize Azure DevOps to manage test documentation, including tracking test progress and reporting on the quality of system releases
• Perform detailed bug reporting, including root cause analysis, and track defect resolution using Azure DevOps
• Identify opportunities for test automation and support the transition from manual to automated testing as the project evolves
• Continuously review and improve testing processes to enhance overall system quality and efficiency
• Mentor team members and contribute to a culture of quality within the Engineering team

Requirements

• Proven experience in creating detailed, well-structured test plans, test cases, and test suites
• Proficiency in manual testing, with an ability to transition to automated testing frameworks
• Familiarity with test management tools such as Azure DevOps, including test case execution and defect tracking
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to investigate defects and determine root causes
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders
• A thorough understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes, including regression testing, functional testing, and performance testing
• Knowledge of scripting or automation tools is a plus (e.g., Selenium, XUnit)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related field
• 5-8 years of experience in the quality assurance field
• Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment
• Experience with any IoT-related technologies is a major plus!
• Enthusiasm and energy to drive continuous quality improvement
• Must be willing to travel
