About the position

The QA Manual Tester position at Calculated Hire involves working as a User Acceptance Tester (UAT) for a leading telecommunications partner in the Maryland Heights area. The role focuses on ensuring high-quality mobile products through comprehensive testing processes, including functional, performance, and load testing. The tester will collaborate with various teams to develop test plans and cases, communicate defects, and contribute to the continuous software development initiatives of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Work on product/project teams developing test plans, test cases, and test execution for Mobile products.
• Create the test cases and use cases based on requirements written by other QA and development teams.
• Effectively communicate complex and/or difficult information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Relay defects to VP level individuals and business partners.

Requirements

• 3+ years as a User Acceptance Tester or similar role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to perform well in fast-paced environments, sometimes working with short timelines and a heavy workload.
• Self-motivated person wanting to learn all aspects of UAT testing.
• Team-oriented person with the ability to work 'heads down' on projects when needed.
• Ability to communicate defects to development groups as well as VPs and stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous JIRA experience preferred.
