As a QA Manual Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of software products within the Rail category. Your primary responsibility will be to perform both manual and automated testing of User Stories during sprints and larger software releases. This involves validating that bug fixes and new features meet the required standards as outlined in customer-provided test procedure templates. You will engage in various types of testing, including functionality, regression, defect retesting, customization testing, and scenario testing. In this position, you will execute test procedures and generate comprehensive Test Reports for each release, detailing the tests conducted, their Pass/Fail status, any issues or exceptions encountered, and necessary changes to test procedures. You will also be responsible for developing or updating Test Procedures as needed. Your testing duties will include executing all Test Cases in a Test Environment during each Sprint, conducting official Software Release Testing of Configuration Management Released Labels, and performing Regression Tests. Additionally, you will support retesting for any Software Rebuilds that may occur. You will analyze Linux application logs and execute scripts as part of your testing responsibilities. Participation in Sprints and software releases will be essential, following a provided project schedule. You will also design and execute test automation, attend team meetings, and investigate system problems to ensure timely software releases to the production system. All tests will be conducted in customer-provided test environments located at the customer test facility in Melbourne, FL. Adaptability to new requirements or changes is vital, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
