About the position

The Middleware QA Tester will be responsible for testing applications developed in Java, focusing primarily on API and log validations. This role requires a strong understanding of test management principles and continuous integration practices. The candidate will work closely with scrum teams and offshore teams, ensuring effective testing and coordination within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Test applications developed in Java, focusing on API and log validations.
• Conduct UI testing (20%) and API testing (80%).
• Check logs to monitor middleware/backend activities.
• Decompose requirements into testable cases covering various data scenarios.
• Collaborate with scrum teams and coordinate with offshore teams.
• Learn the environment in the first month and demonstrate confidence in testing by the second month.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience as a QA with Middleware Testing experience.
• Experience in testing backend services and integrations with upstream/downstream systems.
• Strong experience with API testing.
• Experience with database testing and writing basic queries.
• 1-2 years of experience doing log validation with Unix or SuperPutty.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Minimum 1+ years of experience in Selenium Automation Tool.
• Basic competency with Git Source Control.
• Experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) for managing testing and reporting.
• Experience with JIRA.
• Experience testing within an Agile development lifecycle.

Nice-to-haves

• Development/automation coding expertise is a plus.
• Experience in the Fraud Domain strongly preferred.
