About the position

The Middleware QA position is focused on testing applications developed in Java, with a significant emphasis on API and log validations. The role requires a candidate with 5-10 years of experience in QA, particularly in middleware testing, to ensure the quality and functionality of backend services and integrations. The position involves working closely with scrum teams and coordinating with offshore teams, with an expectation to quickly adapt and contribute to the testing process in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Test applications developed in Java, focusing on API and log validations.
• Conduct UI testing (20%) and API testing (80%) using tools like SuperPutty or Unix.
• Check logs to monitor middleware/backend activities.
• Decompose requirements into testable cases covering various data scenarios.
• Utilize automation tools beyond basic recording features.
• Collaborate with scrum teams and coordinate with offshore teams for testing efforts.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience as a QA with Middleware Testing experience.
• Experience in testing backend services and integrations with upstream/downstream systems.
• Strong experience with API testing.
• Experience with database testing and writing basic queries.
• 1-2 years of experience doing log validation with Unix or SuperPutty.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Minimum 1+ years of experience in Selenium Automation Tool.
• Basic competency with Git Source Control.
• Experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) for managing testing and reporting.
• Experience with JIRA.
• Experience testing within an Agile development lifecycle.
• Development/automation coding expertise is a plus.

• Experience in the Fraud Domain strongly preferred.
