About the position

The QA Performance Tester position is a mid-level contract role focused on software quality assurance for the NCCRIS project at NCDIT-Transportation. The tester will be responsible for both manual and automated testing of new releases and upgrades to applications, ensuring high-quality software delivery through various testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Perform software manual and automation testing of new releases/upgrades to applications.
• Collaborate with application development teams for testing activities.
• Conduct Unit Testing, System Testing, Component Integration, System Integration, Regression, Performance, and Disaster Recovery Testing.
• Create and modify VB scripts for test cases.
• Identify and resolve automation issues and challenges.
• Utilize Automated Testing products such as Tricentis Tosca, Cypress, or Selenium.
• Manage defects and reporting using tools like Jira and OpenText ALM.
• Review requirements documentation and develop test case coverage for system integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
• Design Test Plans, execute test cases/scenarios, and develop testing documentation and results reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5 years of experience in software testing.
• Experience with Automated Testing products such as Tricentis Tosca, Cypress, or Selenium.
• Proficiency in defect management and reporting using Jira and OpenText ALM.
• Experience with VB scripting to create/modify code for test cases.
