About the position

The QA Product Development Manager will oversee the quality assurance processes for product development at Qurate Retail Group, ensuring that products meet technical specifications and regulatory requirements. This role involves collaborating with product development teams and vendors to validate product designs and manage the approval process before shipment. The manager will also assess risks in product manufacturing and support internal quality management teams.

Responsibilities

• Validate product design and engineering through sample evaluations and documentation reviews.
• Ensure maintenance of product technical files and safety certifications.
• Maintain business product approval systems.
• Develop technical product specifications in collaboration with product development teams.
• Assess product samples against regulatory, design, and performance standards.
• Issue final product approvals for the US market and provide necessary documentation to the China Process Audit team.
• Lead and support the Quality Product Design Specialist and product development teams.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Quality or Product Engineering, with at least 2 years managing a quality assurance team.
• College degree in Product Design, Engineering, or Science.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar retailer quality management role or product assessment background, particularly with consumer electrical products.
• Experience working in a cross-departmental environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with regulatory standards for consumer products.
