About the position

The QA/QC Assistant position at International Marine and Industrial Applicators, LLC (IMIA, LLC) is a vital role that supports the quality control and quality assurance processes within the organization. This position is primarily responsible for providing day-to-day administrative support in the assigned area, ensuring that all clerical tasks are executed efficiently and accurately. The QA/QC Assistant will engage in various clerical duties, including filing, compiling, storing, and retrieving data using computer systems. A significant part of the role involves coordinating with field personnel to collect data and deliver necessary documents, as well as updating Microsoft Excel files weekly for submission to the QA Manager. In addition to clerical tasks, the QA/QC Assistant will develop and maintain the Test and Inspection Plan (TIP) for all assigned jobs. Familiarity with Navy Standard Items, particularly 009-04 and 009-32, is essential for this role. The position relies on established guidelines and instructions to perform its functions and works under the immediate supervision of the Regional QC Supervisor. The role may require flexibility, as variations in duties may occur based on the site location and specific project needs. The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have 1-2 years of experience in an office environment performing clerical functions. Proficiency in computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word, is required. Experience with the Navy Maintenance Database (NMD) is considered a plus. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are necessary, along with punctuality and the ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks. A clean background is required for access to customer shipyards, ensuring compliance with safety and security protocols.

Responsibilities
