About the position

The QA/QC Electrician position at Helen of Troy involves delivering commissioning services, including the coordination and implementation of commissioning plans, conducting quality audits on job sites, and providing training to enhance performance and foster a culture of quality. Responsibilities

  • Conducts quality inspections for layout conduit systems, various lighting systems, and basic control systems and feeders.
  • Conducts quality inspections of installation of motor feeders and makes standard motor connections.
  • Identifies potential quality issues from review of construction documents.
  • Analyzes startup/commissioning schedule and upcoming tasks.
  • Demonstrates the ability to complete overall quality inspections for projects of limited scope and size.
  • Leads small crews (2-5 electricians).
  • Performs safety checks on job sites and maintains compliance with company safety policies, lockout-tagout (LOTO) procedures, OSHA and customer-specific safety standards.
  • Conducts quality inspections to ensure Faith Quality Advantage processes and best practices are utilized effectively and safely.
  • Participates in various cross-functional teams to develop and refine organizational processes related to job site quality.
  • Provides valid statistical information and analyses to the Commissioning Superintendent regarding job site quality.
  • Provides guidance to field employees, project supervisors, and management on job site quality matters.
  • Conducts job site coaching and development of employees related to audits or crisis situations.
  • Performs project expectations review with project leadership and provides feedback or corrective actions.
  • Plans for, completes, and implements assignments and responsibilities in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrates acceptance of the company culture and adherence to professional standards.
  • Develops relationships with leaders and direct reports to facilitate open dialogue and trust.
  • Defines work to be done and communicates vision, objectives, and tasks clearly.
  • Delegates tasks and communicates needs and expectations effectively.
  • Measures and monitors the work of individual direct reports and/or teams.
  • Coaches and motivates direct reports to perform effectively and removes barriers to success.
  • Assists in data collection for short circuit arc flash studies.
  • Actively participates in Faith's hiring referral and mentoring program.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of field experience
