About the position

Faith Technologies, a division of Faith Technologies Incorporated (FTI), is seeking a Commissioning Electrician who will play a crucial role in delivering commissioning services. This position involves the coordination and implementation of the commissioning plan, conducting job site quality audits, providing on-site coaching, and conducting training to enhance job site performance. The Commissioning Electrician will foster a culture of quality that permeates our services throughout the organization. The Commissioning Electrician will conduct quality inspections for layout conduit systems, various lighting systems, and basic control systems and feeders. They will also inspect the installation of motor feeders and make standard motor connections, identifying potential quality issues from the review of construction documents. The role requires analyzing startup and commissioning schedules, anticipating equipment installation standards, and demonstrating the ability to complete overall quality inspections for projects of limited scope and size. Additionally, the Commissioning Electrician will lead small crews, perform safety checks on job sites, and maintain compliance with company safety policies, OSHA, and customer-specific safety standards. This position is not just about technical skills; it also involves excellent customer relations through effective problem-solving techniques. The Commissioning Electrician will participate in cross-functional teams to continually develop and refine organizational processes related to job site quality. They will provide guidance to field employees and project supervisors, conduct job site coaching, and perform project expectations reviews with project leadership. The role requires a commitment to the company culture and values, fostering open dialogue and trust with team members and leaders. The Commissioning Electrician will also assist in data collection for short circuit arc flash studies and actively participate in Faith's hiring referral and mentoring program.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality inspections for layout conduit systems, various lighting systems, and basic control systems and feeders.
  • Conduct quality inspections of installation of motor feeders and make standard motor connections.
  • Identify potential quality issues from review of construction documents.
  • Analyze startup/commissioning schedule and upcoming tasks.
  • Demonstrate the ability to complete overall quality inspections for projects of limited scope and size.
  • Lead small crews (2-5 electricians).
  • Perform safety checks on job sites and maintain compliance with company safety policies, lockout-tagout (LOTO) procedures, OSHA and customer-specific safety standards.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer relations through effective problem-solving techniques.
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure Faith Quality Advantage processes and best practices are utilized effectively and safely.
  • Participate in various cross-functional teams to develop and refine organizational processes related to job site quality.
  • Provide valid statistical information and analyses to the Commissioning Superintendent regarding job site quality.
  • Provide guidance to field employees, project supervisors, and management on job site quality matters.
  • Conduct job site or on-site coaching and development of employees.
  • Perform project expectations review with project leadership and provide feedback to project managers and work crew members.
  • Plan for, complete, and implement assignments and responsibilities in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate acceptance of the company culture and adherence to company values.
  • Develop relationships with leaders and direct reports to facilitate open dialogue and trust.
  • Define work to be done and clearly communicate vision, objectives, and tasks to appropriate individuals.
  • Delegate tasks to appropriate parties and communicate needs and expectations clearly.
  • Measure and monitor the work of individual direct reports and/or collective team/taskforce teams.
  • Coach and motivate direct reports to effectively perform and remove barriers to success.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of field experience
