The Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) position is critical in ensuring that construction projects adhere to the highest standards of quality and compliance with contract documents. This role involves implementing a project-specific QA/QC Plan, which includes planning, monitoring, documenting, and reporting compliance throughout the project lifecycle. The QA/QC professional will work closely with various stakeholders, including owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors, to ensure that all aspects of the project meet the established quality standards. The individual in this role will develop a comprehensive understanding of the contract documents, including Turner's contract, plans, specifications, and applicable codes. They will be responsible for executing the QA/QC Plan, which encompasses creating engineering procedures, managing document control, and tracking Requests For Information (RFIs), material samples, and change orders. The QA/QC professional will also conduct testing and inspections, analyze results, and ensure that any non-compliant materials or workmanship are documented and corrected before proceeding with subsequent work. In addition to these responsibilities, the QA/QC professional will continually improve strategies and tools for documenting and tracking compliance, oversee the development of Daily Construction Reports (DCRs), and manage project close-out and quality reports. This position requires strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as the ability to engage all project staff and stakeholders in the QA/QC process. The role is essential for maintaining the integrity of the construction process and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget while meeting all quality standards.
