About the position

The QA/QC Field Engineer Intern at FTI serves as a technical assistant in the field, acting as a liaison between various project stakeholders. This role involves supporting QA/QC tasks through effective communication of project specifications and utilizing technical tools to ensure efficient operations. The intern will gain hands-on experience in a progressive environment focused on employee growth, safety, and the latest industry technologies.

Responsibilities

• Leads training needs for technology tools, software applications, and SOP's.
• Understands relational data sets for equipment and feeders and able to generate reports from such data.
• Ensures detailed procedures and checklists are in place to document that equipment is installed and energized to the project requirements, applicable standards, as well as customer requirements and specifications.
• Assembles project information that documents that the installation conforms to project requirements, applicable standards as well as customer requirements.
• Collects and enters data for KPI reporting and visual reporting.
• Provide support material and reports to project leads as required.
• Provide support for commissioning activities.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Requirements

• Enrolled in an accredited institution and actively working toward a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction.
• Proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willing and able to learn project checklist and issue management software packages.
• Knowledge of electrical terminology and components is necessary.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with QA/QC software and tools such as BIM360Field and Bluebeam.
