About the position

The Quality Assurance (QA/QC) Inspector is responsible for performing quality evaluations on standard and routine processes and products according to engineering drawings, specifications, and prescribed methods. This role involves inspecting various operations, identifying non-conformance to known standards, and generating reports on inspection activities. The inspector plays a vital role in ensuring that all products and processes meet the desired quality, safety, efficiency, and reliability levels.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality evaluations on standard and routine processes and products according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Inspect various operations activities and identify non-conformance to known standards.
• Generate reports of conditions found during inspection activities and notify management of significant problems.
• Complete documentation necessary to attest to satisfactory completion of inspection or test activities.
• Conduct magnetic particle and penetrant testing of parts and initiate non-conformance reports.

Requirements

• Completion of a high school diploma or GED.
• 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in quality control or assurance.
• Familiarity with vision inspection systems, precision measuring instruments, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC principles, CGMP, and ISO 9001 standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills for problem-solving.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience interpreting electrical schematics.
• Experience interpreting engineering prints.
