As a Project Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Project Management Team, working on-site to ensure the successful execution of construction projects. Your responsibilities will include contract setup, managing submittals, assisting with the bid package process, handling change orders, and supporting project scheduling. The scope of your involvement will vary based on the size and complexity of the projects, requiring you to be flexible and adaptable. Strong communication and client service skills are essential, as you will be collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure project success. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction management or engineering, with 1-3 years of experience in creating documentation such as RFIs and client correspondence. You should be proficient in reading and understanding construction plans and technical specifications, ensuring that all submittals and shop drawings are approved. Additionally, experience with project closeout is required. A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience of 8 years may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Work on-site within the Project Management Team to ensure project success.
  • Manage contract setup and assist with the bid package process.
  • Handle submittals and change orders as required.
  • Assist with project scheduling and coordination.
  • Create documentation such as RFIs and client correspondence related to contracts.
  • Read and understand construction plans and technical specifications.
  • Outline specifications for submission to clients and ensure approvals for submittals and shop drawings.
  • Support project closeout processes.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience creating documentation such as RFIs and client correspondence on issues related to contracts.
  • 1-3 years of experience reading and understanding construction plans and drawings, along with technical specifications.
  • 1-3 years of experience with project closeout processes.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a similar field, or 8 years of equivalent experience.
