The University of Washington (UW) is seeking a QA Report Tester to join the Reporting and Analytics (R&A) team within UW Information Technology (UW-IT). This position plays a crucial role in implementing and enforcing best practices for testing Workday reporting and analytics deliverables. The R&A team is dedicated to empowering data-driven decisions by providing easy access to institutional information through various means, including traditional reports, data cubes, AI-driven features, and predictive analytics. The team collaborates closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver actionable insights that enhance admissions, student success, instruction, and administrative services for students, faculty, advisors, and staff. As a QA Report Tester, you will work collaboratively with R&A team members, business partners, end-users, and applications and operations support staff to ensure the quality and reliability of Workday reporting solutions. You will be responsible for testing designs and strategies for reporting and analytics deliverables, utilizing your expertise in software development lifecycle practices, particularly Agile methodologies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of organizational business objectives and processes, enabling them to coordinate the design and implementation of effective testing solutions for Workday reports and analytics. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least four years of experience in report/analytics development and data Quality Assurance. You will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and oral, as well as the ability to work independently with a high degree of reliability and accuracy. The role also involves maintaining harmonious working relationships and using discretion in decision-making processes. The work environment is hybrid, with an open office layout, allowing for flexibility in work arrangements.
