About the position

The QA/SDET position at Insight Global involves working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to enhance user experience through rigorous testing and automation. The role focuses on creating and maintaining functional test cases, developing test automation, and ensuring high-quality software delivery through both manual and automated testing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Work with cross-functional teams to improve user experience.
  • Create, document, and maintain functional test cases using BDD principles.
  • Participate in the development of test automation for functional components, user acceptance, and system testing.
  • Generate essential test artifacts, including test data and automated scripts.
  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents.
  • Perform manual and automated tests to identify and document defects.
  • Design and create detailed test plans and test cases for software systems.
  • Collaborate with developers and product owners to troubleshoot defects.
  • Engage in reviews of test scenarios and code reviews of automated testing efforts.
  • Assist in the deployment, support, and monitoring of software across environments.
  • Promote a positive team environment that fosters communication and problem-solving.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in writing test automation for mobile and web applications using tools like Selenium JS, Cypress.io, Puppeteer, Playwright, Appium.
  • 2+ years of proficiency in developing functional acceptance test scenarios using BDD frameworks like Cucumber, SpecFlow, Gauge.
  • Experience in non-functional testing areas such as Security, Performance, and Accessibility.
  • Commitment to high-quality coding practices and comprehensive documentation.
  • Passion for staying current with the latest software tools and methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and intellectual curiosity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, LambdaTest.
  • Understanding of Cucumber framework.
  • Primary programming language is JavaScript.
