About The Position

The QA Supervisor at Vulcraft Texas is responsible for leading a team of inspectors to ensure the quality of fabricated products. This role involves developing and implementing quality standards, collaborating with various departments, and demonstrating the core values of the Nucor culture. The position requires a commitment to safety, quality, cost efficiency, productivity, and profitability, along with the ability to work more than 40 hours per week and travel as needed to address job site issues.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience with Vulcraft or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree or CWI certification required.
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or ability to become certified within 1 year.
• AWS SMAW & GMAW certified welder or ability to become certified within 6 months.

Nice To Haves

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Outlook, and Word, and SAP.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems.
• Understanding of inspection procedures.
• Knowledge and experience with SJI and AWS welding specifications.
• Experience working as an Inspector I, Lead Person, or in another supervisory position.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of inspectors to verify the quality of fabricated products.
• Develop and implement quality standards for the division.
• Collaborate with other departments to achieve safety, quality, cost, productivity, and profitability goals.
• Demonstrate the values of the Nucor culture in daily operations.
• Work more than 40 hours per week as necessary.
• Travel to job sites on short notice to resolve problems.
