About the position

The QA Test Analyst will support the IRS EDOS program by assisting in the transition of on-prem data and business intelligence processing to a new cloud-based platform. This role involves analyzing the current BI portfolio, creating a release plan for legacy functionality, and completing a Proof of Concept for data migration and refactoring.

Responsibilities

• Work in an Agile team to support QA Test functions
• Provide expertise in the planning, constructing and execution of test scripts
• Develop, update and maintain quality testing standards and procedures
• Apply business and functional knowledge including testing standards, guidelines, and testing methodology
• Ensure all testing results are easily accessible and understandable
• Track defects to closure and keep the defect repository up-to-date
• Address functional issues and assist in data validation
• Work with developers to resolve defects and retest

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
• Three (3) or more years of related experience, or four (4) years of related experience in lieu of a degree
• US citizenship or Legal Permanent Resident status for 3+ years
• Ability to pass and maintain an IRS Minimum Background Investigation (MBI)
• Knowledge of programming and scripting languages like Java and Python
• Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium, SOAPUI, and Jenkins
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience with Microsoft products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint)
• Experience with software development lifecycle
• Database knowledge
• Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD)
