About the position

As a QA Test Analyst at Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies, you will be an integral part of our team, working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role is crucial for ensuring that our software systems are fast, available, and scalable. You will collaborate closely with software developers and business analysts to test and deploy business processes throughout the organization. Your primary focus will be on a specific development team, with the goal of delivering a quality product that is both stable and reliable. In this position, you will develop and execute software tests to identify software problems and their causes. You will also be responsible for testing system modifications in preparation for implementation. Documenting software and application defects using a bug tracking system and reporting these defects to developers will be a key part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will create and maintain databases of known defects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues. You may also participate in software design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, operational characteristics, product designs, and schedules. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 1-2 years as a QA Test Analyst or similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, accounting, math, finance, statistics, or computer science, strongly preferred.
  • A combination of other certifications/experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Ability to create clear, concise, detail-oriented requirements, specifications, and business requirements documents.
  • Ability to understand and create test plans from specifications or verbal communications.
  • Experience interacting with development, project management, and business partners.
  • Proven track record of working in a fast-paced environment and delivering high-quality results.
