About the position

The Test and Evaluation Engineer role is focused on providing expertise in testing strategies and methodologies within the Federal and DoD space. The position requires a strong background in software engineering, particularly in test-driven development, and involves creating test plans, executing evaluations, and analyzing system requirements. The engineer will work collaboratively with various teams to ensure effective testing and evaluation processes are in place, contributing to the overall success of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise in traditional, Agile, and DevOps development practices and associated testing strategies.
  • Help create plans and procedures for test evaluations and assessments.
  • Analyze system requirements and develop evaluation and test plans and procedures.
  • Prepare for and conduct data collection and analysis, reporting status and results.
  • Provide visibility into progress and impediments in testing processes.
  • Support the development of Government test and evaluation documentation such as Test & Evaluation Strategy and Test Readiness Assessments.
  • Work with other test organizations to support T&E program integration.
  • Execute test plans and procedures, confirming results of automated tests.
  • Provide mentorship and direction to junior team members.

Requirements

  • Active DoD Top Secret w/ SCI clearance.
  • 6+ years of experience in Test and Evaluation within the Federal/DoD space.
  • 3+ years of experience in test-driven development, including automated testing scripts.
  • Experience with development tools such as JMeter, Jenkins, Docker, Postman, Swagger, Nexus, Apigee, or GitHub/GitLab.
  • Proficiency in development languages: Java, Bash, Curl, XML, JSON, SQL, Python, and JavaScript.
  • Experience developing in AWS cloud environment.
  • Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as Cucumber.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with peers and various levels of clients.

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or additional years of experience.
