About the position

The Junior QA Test Engineer at Two Six Technologies will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining manual functional and user-acceptance tests for software product development. This position involves close collaboration with development and field operations teams to evaluate features and document defects, contributing to the enhancement of cyberspace capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs software product testing and investigates possible causes of problems.
• Develops functional end-to-end regression tests in manual test environments.
• Detects and writes software defect reports and feature requests.
• Understands, reproduces, troubleshoots product defects and works with developers to determine the best resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelors of Science Degree or equivalent work experience
• 1 year of experience with Google Suite or Microsoft Office products
• Demonstrates basic knowledge of IT systems, networking, and problem solving
• Familiarity with UNIX / LINUX-based operating systems
• Eligibility and willingness to obtain and maintain a government security clearance up to secret level

Nice-to-haves

• Military cyber experience or understanding of common military or cyber vernacular
• Solid grasp of technical writing and documentation
• Experience with SQL or other basic database technologies
• Familiarity with virtualization and/or cloud technologies such as Docker, vSphere, Ansible, or AWS
• Understanding of the Agile Software Development Life Cycle
• Experience refining low-level testing or configuration scripts using Bash, Python, or Javascript
