About the position

ProdataKey (PDK) is seeking a dedicated QA Tester to join our Quality Assurance department. As a QA Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our innovative access control products, which are used by hundreds of thousands of people daily. Your work will be essential for the timely delivery of projects, and you will be a major contributor to enhancing the user experience of our products. In this position, you will be responsible for creating and executing test cases for both web and mobile applications, maintaining and occasionally rewriting existing test suites, and working with a diverse range of cutting-edge hardware and software technologies within the physical security industry. Additionally, you will handle customer cases that have been escalated to engineering and collaborate with support technicians to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues. To succeed in this role, you will need a strong foundation in quality assurance principles and practices, as well as the ability to adapt to various development environments. You will be expected to understand different testing processes, test types, test design, and methodologies. Attention to detail is critical, as you will need to observe and communicate findings effectively. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision is essential, as is the capability to write clear and concise bug reports and follow retesting procedures. Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases, REST services, and tools such as Postman, SSH, and Linux will be beneficial. Experience with test management tools like Zephyr Scale is also a plus. A strong command of the English language, both verbal and written, is necessary for effective communication within the team and with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in quality assurance.
  • Ability to adapt to unfamiliar development environments.
  • Understanding of testing processes, test types, test design, and testing methodologies.
  • Strong observational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with some supervision.
  • Proficient in writing bug reports and following retesting procedures.
  • Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with REST services and tools like Postman.
  • Knowledge of remote login, SSH, and Linux tools.
  • Familiarity with test management tools like Zephyr Scale.
  • Strong command of the English language.
