About the position

Insight Global is seeking a Senior QA Tester in Latin America to support a Fortune 500 manufacturing client. This role is crucial in assisting the Application Development team in delivering successful outcomes to business stakeholders. The Senior QA Tester will collaborate closely with Software Development teams and Product Owners to comprehend requirements and develop as well as manage test scenarios for all new development projects. The position involves logging, communicating, prioritizing, and tracking defects and issues appropriately, while also recommending corrective actions whenever necessary. The QA Tester will work alongside the development team and Database Administrators to identify system deficiencies and escalate issues to the appropriate teams for timely resolution. The role requires delivering quality products by thoroughly testing throughout all phases of the development life cycle, including Regression, Functional, Integration, and End-to-End testing, utilizing a combination of testing methods. A solid understanding of basic concepts, terminology, and practical applications of current and emerging technologies is essential. The ideal candidate will possess extensive analytical abilities and technical skills to evaluate alternative approaches and recommend the most feasible and economical solutions. Proficiency in a wide range of architectures, analytical and design techniques, database technologies, programming languages, and Business Intelligence is also required. The QA Tester must be capable of isolating problems, addressing immediate needs, analyzing ramifications, and implementing comprehensive solutions. Additionally, the role involves defining, organizing, planning, and executing projects from vision through implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Software Development teams and Product Owners to understand requirements and develop test scenarios.
  • Log, communicate, prioritize, and track defects and issues appropriately.
  • Recommend corrective actions whenever required.
  • Work with development team and Database Administrators to identify system deficiencies and escalate issues for timely resolution.
  • Deliver quality products by thoroughly testing throughout all phases of the development life cycle.
  • Utilize a combination of testing methods including Regression, Functional, Integration, and End-to-End testing.
  • Evaluate alternative approaches and recommend feasible solutions.
  • Define, organize, plan, and execute projects from vision through implementation.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, related discipline or equivalent experience and technical training.
  • 5 years direct experience in software testing (Functional).
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Good analytical/technical abilities and organizational/conceptual skills.
  • Must be comfortable working remotely and managing time effectively without face-to-face interaction.
  • Solid understanding of SCRUM, development, and testing tools like Jira, VersionOne, ADO, ALM, TFS, etc.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to express complex technical concepts in audience-appropriate terms.
  • Solid understanding of QA life cycle and exposure to Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Good understanding of Test Automation.
  • Ability to foster and maintain good relationships with customers and IT colleagues.
