As a QA Tester at TEKsystems, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of software applications. This position is available in either Jersey City or Plano, and you will be responsible for developing detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases based on functional requirements. You will contribute to test planning and, as part of a Scrum team, build test cases for stories in the given sprint according to the story acceptance criteria. Your participation in test case reviews will be essential, and you will be expected to make necessary updates to ensure accuracy and completeness. In this role, you will build and utilize test data required for executing test cases, which includes both manual and automated tests. You will execute test cases, record test results, and test new and existing features while debugging code at both the unit and integration levels. Collaboration with the development team for defect triaging will be a key part of your responsibilities, as will executing all levels of testing, including Functional, Integration, and Regression testing. You will also design, develop, and execute automation scripts, taking ownership of end-to-end testing processes. Detecting and tracking software defects and inconsistencies will be part of your daily tasks, and you will provide timely solutions to any issues that arise. Applying quality principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle, you will ensure that all standards and processes are implemented within projects, contributing to the overall success of the team and the organization.
