About the position

The Quality Assurance Tester position at Precision System Design Inc. involves designing and executing various test cases to ensure the quality and performance of a cloud-based system. This is a 7-month contract role based in Little Rock, Arkansas, requiring onsite presence. The role focuses on both manual and automated testing, collaborating with developers to integrate testing into the CI/CD pipeline, and continuously improving testing processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional and non-functional testing.
• Perform testing and debugging of new and existing application software.
• Design, execute, and automate API testing using XUnit and manual testing using Postman.
• Collaborate with developers and Platform Engineers to integrate automated tests into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
• Identify and report defects, track and prioritize issues, and ensure timely resolution.
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance product quality and efficiency.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in quality assurance and test automation.
• Develop and evolve test plans for complex applications.
• Deconstruct solutions into tests that optimize for coverage and risk.
• Create trusted test automation with high reliability and relevancy.
• Extend test automation frameworks to incorporate new functionality.

Requirements

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience as a Quality Engineer or similar role.
