As a QA Tester at Insight Global, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products. Your primary responsibilities will include developing detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases based on functional requirements. You will contribute to test planning and, when part of a Scrum team, build test cases for stories in the given sprint according to the story acceptance criteria. Automation will be a key focus, as you will automate test cases in both the User Interface (UI) and database using tools like Selenium and Tosca. In addition to test case development, you will be responsible for building and using test data necessary for executing test cases. You will execute both manual and automated tests, recording test results meticulously. Your role will also involve testing new and existing features, debugging code at both the unit and integration levels, and reporting any errors or failures encountered during testing. Collaboration with the development team will be essential for defect triaging, ensuring that all levels of testing—Functional, Integration, and Regression—are executed effectively. You will take ownership of end-to-end testing processes, detecting and tracking software defects and inconsistencies while providing timely solutions. Applying quality principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle will be a critical aspect of your role, along with ensuring that all standards and processes are implemented within projects. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary, as you will need to manage competing priorities and work effectively within large teams.
