About the position

M9 Solutions is seeking a QA Tester to work in a hybrid remote/on-site capacity for a government contract in Washington, DC. The role involves supporting a team of software developers in building a full-stack web application on AWS, ensuring quality through rigorous testing processes, and mentoring junior test analysts. An active TS/SCI clearance is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Support a team of software developers and engineers in building a full-stack web application on AWS.
• Ensure the quality and functionality of the application through rigorous testing processes and collaboration with the development team.
• Develop and design data pipelines to support an end-to-end solution.
• Review application requirements and technical documentation to identify test cases and test data needs.
• Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects and issues using defect tracking tools.
• Collaborate with developers to understand the cause and resolution of defects.
• Provide feedback and recommendations to developers and stakeholders on software usability and functionality.
• Mentor and oversee junior test analysts to ensure the growth of next-generation technical resources.
• Participate in test team meetings, discuss progress, and troubleshoot issues.
• Support developers and clients on testing-related inquiries.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• 6+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree, or 4+ years of experience with a master's degree.
• Ability to work on-site at a client SCIF located in Washington, DC.
• Experience in Test Planning, Requirements Analysis, Test Design, Test Case Execution, Defect Logging and Analysis, Test Automation, Agile Methodologies, and Quality Assurance Processes and Strategies.
• Skills: End-to-End Processes, Functional Testing, Non Functional Testing, QA Tester, Quality Assurance Automation Tester, Technical Support, Raw Data, Technical Support.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with AWS services and cloud-based applications.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools like jMeter and LoadRunner.
• Knowledge of database monitoring and software development concepts.
• Proficiency in using test management tools like Jira.
• ISTQB Certification or equivalent.
