About the position

The position involves creating and executing test plans and scripts to ensure optimal application performance in line with specifications. The role focuses on conducting internal audits to ensure adherence to QA standards in software development and application integration, while also ensuring that testing activities align with business requirements and user needs.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute test plans and scripts to determine optimal application performance according to specifications.
  • Conduct internal audits to measure and assure adherence to established QA standards for software development, application integration, and information system performance.
  • Ensure that testing activities allow applications to meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify existing or potential issues.
  • Collaborate with software/systems personnel in application testing, including system, unit, regression, UAT, and acceptance testing methods.
  • Make recommendations for improvement of applications to programmers and software developers or engineers.
  • Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management.
  • Test new software to ensure integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and technical specifications.
  • Analyze formal test results to discover and report any defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws.
  • Participate in developing, distributing, and coordinating in-depth end-user reviews for modified and new systems or applications.
  • Work closely with Business and third-party Vendors.

Requirements

  • Experience in creating and executing test plans and scripts.
  • Strong understanding of QA standards for software development and application integration.
  • Ability to conduct internal audits and measure adherence to QA standards.
  • Experience in various testing methods including system, unit, regression, UAT, and acceptance testing.
  • Strong analytical skills to discover and report defects, bugs, and errors.
  • Excellent communication skills to report test progress and results to stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with automated testing tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of programming languages to communicate effectively with developers.
