About the position

The Data Analytics Quality Assurance Tester at Robert Half is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and functionality of data analytics solutions through rigorous testing and analysis. This role involves developing and executing comprehensive test plans, identifying and resolving defects, and collaborating with data analysts and developers to maintain data integrity and quality.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases.
• Conduct thorough testing of data pipelines, algorithms, models, and visualizations.
• Identify, document, and prioritize defects.
• Collaborate with development teams to resolve issues promptly.
• Validate data transformations and calculations to ensure data integrity.
• Verify data consistency across systems.
• Utilize automated testing tools and scripts to streamline testing processes.
• Monitor testing progress and report on metrics like test coverage and defect rates.
• Contribute to Agile or Scrum meetings, providing testing insights and resource estimates.
• Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and data analytics quality assurance trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role with a focus on data analytics or business intelligence.
• Strong understanding of data analysis concepts, methodologies, and tools.
• Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, R, Java).
• Experience with testing frameworks (Selenium, JUnit, PyTest).
• Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques.
• Experience with data governance and compliance standards.
• ISTQB or Certified Analytics Professional certification.
