About the position

As a QA Tester at Vertafore, you will be an integral part of a dynamic and collaborative team dedicated to advancing the insurance industry through innovative software solutions. You will be embedded within an agile team, where you will advocate for quality and assist in implementing best practices for software development and test automation. Your contributions will help shape the testing strategies that drive efficiencies and improve product quality. Responsibilities

  • Create and execute test plans and test cases for software products.
  • Advocate for quality within cross-functional development teams.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to implement test automation best practices.
  • Identify and document defects, and work with developers to resolve issues.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Develop and maintain testing frameworks and tools to enhance testing efficiency.
  • Provide feedback on product quality and suggest improvements.

Requirements

  • Experience in both manual and automation testing practices.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Ability to communicate effectively and defend testing strategies.
  • Experience with major testing frameworks and agile methodologies.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and flexible work environment.
  • Proactive approach to quality assurance and testing.

  • Experience in guiding agile teams in improving their testing techniques.
