About the position

The QA Tester will be an integral part of an Agile Development Team, focusing on software testing and quality assurance. This role involves mentoring others in the Testing Community and guiding practices that enhance project support using Scaled Agile Frameworks, particularly in automation and early defect detection. The position is with a Fortune 500 automotive company, offering competitive compensation and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Creating and maintaining Release Train testing plan and strategy documents
• Coordinating Iteration and Daily test activities with the project team
• Translating written or verbal requirements and functional specifications into test cases
• Ensuring development/execution of functional and system thread test plans and scripts
• Ensuring adherence to test case standards and guidelines
• Developing and executing performance/load test scripts
• Conducting performance/load testing to meet performance targets
• Reviewing testing tools/processes with the project team and providing instruction
• Identifying, documenting, and ensuring resolution of testing issues
• Ensuring accurate recording of defects and facilitating defect remediation
• Leading integration and certification testing
• Advising on testing metrics collection and reporting
• Contributing to testing standards and participating in standardization committees
• Mentoring less experienced Test Specialists on Agile testing processes
• Advising the testing community on industry standards and best practices

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive responsibilities in IT
• At least 5 years of experience in testing
• At least 3 years of experience on an Agile Team
• Deep understanding of J2EE development process and system environments
• Application development or business analysis experience
• Ability to lead, direct, and influence others at various technical and managerial levels
• High level of communication skills and teamwork
