About the position

The QA Tester position at Infinite Computing Systems is a contract role based in Atlanta, GA, offering a pay range of $39 to $40 per hour. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in software testing, particularly in mid-scale or large-scale system development projects. This role requires proficiency in both manual and automated testing, including the development and execution of test scripts and test plans. The QA Tester will be responsible for identifying missing test cases, creating new test cases, and modifying existing ones to ensure comprehensive and efficient test coverage. Additionally, the candidate should be able to document Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTM) and confirm that applications are ready for User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Responsibilities

  • Perform manual and automated testing using supported tools.
  • Identify missing test cases and create new ones for comprehensive test coverage.
  • Document Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTM) and confirm applications are ready for UAT.
  • Prepare sample data for testing.
  • Review and analyze system specifications including System Requirements, Business Requirements, and Design Documents.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to validate product quality throughout the development life cycle.
  • Document Test Cases and Test Results.
  • Run tests for application functions and ensure compliance with STLC concepts and best practices.

Requirements

  • At least three years of experience in software testing.
  • Experience with mid-scale or large-scale system development projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Experience in documenting Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTM).
  • Proficiency in manual and automated testing.
  • Experience with GitHub, ServiceNow, TFS, or JIRA.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with mobile device testing.
  • Familiarity with defect management tools (TFS / JIRA).
  • Preferred experience in the public sector.
  • Training or software testing certifications such as CSTE or CAST.
