About the position

Akkodis is seeking a QA Tester for a contract position in Addison, Texas. The role involves ensuring software quality in a fast-paced environment, focusing on both manual and automated testing to meet customer needs effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform both manual and automated testing to ensure the quality of software applications.
• Develop, execute, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts, ensuring coverage of all functional requirements.
• Conduct database testing to verify data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
• Work within an Agile environment, collaborating with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to deliver quality releases.
• Utilize tools like Selenium or UFT to automate repetitive test cases and improve testing efficiency.
• Identify, document, and track defects, collaborating with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Participate in retrospectives and contribute to the improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate test results and issues clearly to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in manual and automated testing.
• Proficiency in Selenium or UFT for test automation.
• Expertise in database (ETL) testing and strong SQL skills.
• Experience working within Agile methodologies and familiarity with ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) tools.
