About the position

The position involves creating and managing communications and change management activities associated with company programs and initiatives related to Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs (QARA). The role is crucial in ensuring effective messaging, information dissemination, engagement, and exposure primarily to internal audiences. The successful candidate will partner with relevant stakeholders to develop and implement complex, interconnected communications and change management plans that support various company projects and initiatives. This role contributes to divisional and functional goals and orchestrates all types of communications and branding according to global communications frameworks. The position requires collaboration across regions and functions, engaging regularly with diverse cultures. Key responsibilities include developing and orchestrating a wide range of communications content and materials tailored for different audiences, utilizing various communications platforms, channels, and tools, while monitoring communications for optimization and effectiveness. The candidate will integrate various communications tactics and channels to effectively reach different audiences and stakeholder groups, including memos, FAQs, talking points, speeches, presentations, websites, videos, broadcast emails, intranet, enterprise social media, town halls, and surveys. Additionally, the role involves drafting and developing change strategies and communications plans, leveraging a consistent change management methodology to support enterprise-wide transformation, and facilitating project communication meetings. The candidate will also manage external vendor relationships, ensuring regular communication, contract initiation, amendments, and performance monitoring. This position requires working outside of standard business hours due to the global nature of the role, which may include global conference calls, preparing for and attending large meetings and events, and occasional travel.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and orchestrate a wide range of communications content and materials for different audiences.
  • Utilize various communications platforms, channels, and tools; monitor communications for optimization and effectiveness.
  • Integrate various communications tactics and channels to effectively reach different audiences and stakeholder groups.
  • Draft and develop change strategies and communications plans.
  • Leverage a consistent change management methodology, process, and tools to support the adoption of enterprise-wide transformation.
  • Support the development and implementation of enterprise-wide change infrastructure.
  • Support related change training efforts such as design and delivery.
  • Monitor overall progress of the change implementation.
  • Facilitate project communication meetings.
  • Provide presentations and reports on projects and initiatives.
  • Manage external vendor relationships including regular points of contact, contract initiation and amendments, PO and budget, and vendor performance.
  • Apply the global communications framework and collaborate with corporate communications for optimal orchestration of divisional/functional communication.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Change Management, Journalism, English, Digital Media, Marketing, or equivalent knowledge and experience required.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Communications, ideally in a global or national communications environment.
  • Experience and understanding of change management is required.
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization is a plus but not required.
  • Experience with intranets, SharePoint, and the Microsoft 365 environment is a plus, but not required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a medical device, life sciences or another highly regulated industry is preferred.
  • Experience working and managing outside consultants is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong command of the English language.
  • Solid project management, multi-tasking skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and cross-culturally.
  • Good use of time management and ability to shift priorities.
  • Good technical expertise in utilizing and leveraging Microsoft 365 environment, intranets, and similar digital communications tools/channels.
